.sunny Indiana

I guess "sunny Indiana" is a bit of an understatement. Walking out of the air conditioned house feels like looking straight into a blow dryer. But grandma and grandpa Bud's neighbors are gone and they have graciously allowed us to use their in-ground backyard pool. JT has learned to backdive and Caspian goes off the diving board and up the ladder and off the board again so fast it reminds me of a hamster in a wheel. Only my little hamster wears orange water wings and a snorkel-type mask that's so tight that one of his eyes is slanted and the other looks like it's popping out.

We are staying cool and eating very, very well (Honey Nut Shredded Wheat with fresh blueberries every morning for breakfast). We made a trip into Chicago on Friday to go to Giordano's for Chicago style pizza. We had supper at an Ethiopian restaurant and, to my suprise, the kids loved it. I guess even spinach and yellow peas taste great with Injera bread. Wish you all could have been with us, but we never would have found a parking spot...
