paper chains

We are counting down the days...

First, we made a paper chain of red and green to count down the days until Christmas. Every day the kids take turns taking off another link in the chain. We added eight pink loops at the end to help us see how many days are left before Helen Tinsaae comes home.

This photo of Caspian holding the chain he had just completed is worth more than a thousand words. He is wearing the ninja sword holder from Michael and Christine when they were here and Charlie was born just before halloween. His head is bruised from a dive he took into a clothes rack while I shopped for his new sister. And the chain itself...we just keep going with our crazy schedules and the time is flying by. Soon she will be here and we will never remember what in the world life was like without her.
