We went to see Helen's adoption doctor. They gave her some shots and drew some blood. I wish we never had to do that again! Poor thing. But she slept in the car on the way there and back (70 minutes each way) with no fussing at all! We had given her a few meals in the carseat in the dining room to get her used to it. Doctor Wilson says she has good fine motor skills and that she looks at mom and dad before she touches things, which shows good social understanding as well. She is probably one year old, and we will have to decide what birthday to put on her birth certificate...that's a tough one.
The kids still adore her. I really can't count how many times today JT said, "she likes me." Every time she looked at him or touched his hand. We are just so happy to be her family.
